I dont know I hope

"I dont know I hope I never have to use it and I pray it works when I do."

Flojak

"I purchased this emergency backup manual well pump kit to be prepared for any power outages we may have. Living out in the country has its own set of unexpected circumstances and when the power goes out out here we could have no power for days. Having this manual well pump on hand gives me a piece of mind knowing that if something was to back up I'd be able to address it. The 50 foot hose is an adequate length to reach the bottom of my well if the need arises. Its good quality, durable, and not too heavy. It's also a good deal for a flojak. Flows good and works good."

Well

"We moved to the country a couple of years ago and I really like that we have fresh well water and don't have to worry about the chemicals and dangers of city water. However we had a power outage a few months ago and we realized that although we have great water in our well it is pretty much useless during a power outage. This backup well pump kit lets us use our well to get water even if the electricity is out and is so easy to work that even the kids and I can work it without any problem. It allows us to get enough water out of our well to use for drinking and cooking in just a few minutes and we can even get enough for other things if we really need to. Durable and good value fits well."

Not necessary until it is- then you'll be glad you have it!

"My family has had a well drilling business for generations, and I've known and recommended the Flojak brand to many customers for back up water supply, although I've always been on municipal water, so it's not been especially necessary. As we improve our own security and access, this pump has become part of our redundant water supply and will help us to insure clean water access at the places we need it."

All well owners need this.

"I've been without electricity and hence no water because I have a deep well. Never again. This was easy to install and test. It functions perfectly and I could've saved hundreds if not thousands had I owned this during that major hurricane. It wasn't just the cost for many weeks and months of buying water every day for a large family with a small farm but the travel costs and extra hired help to make sure it was delivered. No it doesn't have pressure like your well when on full operation. But you have water. Your water. And that's a feeling you can't put a value on. To know the water is available in case of an emergency"

Peace of Mind for Power Outages and Off-Grid Use

"I bought this as a backup for our well in case of power loss, and it’s one of the best preparedness purchases I’ve made. The Flojak pump is solidly built, easy to assemble, and surprisingly efficient for a manual system."

Dependable Water Access When It Matters Most

"This emergency well pump is an exceptional example of smart, rugged American engineering. It’s compact, lightweight, and completely self-contained — ready to use straight from the box with no assembly required. The pumping action feels smooth and solid, and it delivers a steady gallon per minute, which is impressive for a hand-operated system. I tested it during a power outage on my property, and within minutes I was able to pump clean, cold water from my well directly into containers. The handle design is ergonomic, and the overall build quality inspires confidence — every part feels well-made and durable. What really stands out is the peace of mind this product provides. Whether for off-grid living, survival preparation, or unexpected emergencies, it ensures you’ll never be without water. The fact that it’s 100% made in the USA makes it even better. This is a must-have for every household that depends on well water — reliable, efficient, and built to last."

Great to have

"I think anyone who lives with a well should have this in case of emergency! Out of the box the components feel very well made and a true miracle inefficiency! I tried it on our well to make sure everything was working and within a couple of seconds I had water flowing. I was surprised how fast it truly worked! It would be perfect and quick enough to fill up a good size container for transport! The build and quality again were great and it worked right out of the box! It was very easy and a good value. . Packaging was well done and I do not see it breaking in transport. I received this product for review. I was not paid for my opinion, I have not been contacted by the seller, and my opinion is my own honest opinion for better or worse. The only difference between my normal reviews and my Vine reviews, are I try to go more in depth out of courtesy for others and in respect of the program itself. I also still have to pay taxes, actually use the product, and spend time writing this. I borrowed this initial format from another vine program reviewer, but did not get his name so whomever you are, thank you!!! My impression overall of the vine program as since the sellers know we are free to leave our honest opinion, they believe in their products before putting them into the program!! I say this because I have appreciated the quality of products I have received and the few that I had problems with, I think could be better with minor corrections."

Not long enough. I didn’t hit water.

"My well is 66’ deep. I know when they dig a well, they don’t stop as soon as they hit water. They go deeper into the aquifer. For that reason I assumed the 50’ pump would be sufficient. And their advertisement, the drawing even shows that the well pump goes down below the point where the water begins. Well in my case, it didn’t work. I put this down all the way in my well as far as it would go, pumped for about three minutes and never got a drop of water. The lack of resistance while it was pumping made me assume right away that it wasn’t working, but I continued to try. When I did stop, after getting no water, I pulled this 50 foot line all the way out of my well and it was bone dry. It’s just not long enough to hit the bottom. That’s a pretty expensive mistake. A really expensive mistake! Unfortunately, this won’t work for me unless there’s a way to extend it and make it a few feet longer. I’ll look more closely at it another day and see if it’s possible to splice a coupler in and extended about 10 feet. My fear with doing that is that the coupler will come apart and it will drop down into the bottom of my well and cause other problems. In theory it’s great and it would’ve done me a lot of a lot of good. My place is off grid anyways. To get water I have to start a generator. Being that wood is my only source of heat if I leave in the winter, I have to winterize it. It would be really nice to have access to water through a pump like this, but I guess it’s not in the cards for now. Now for the rest of my review, let’s pretend that this did actually work and I was able to get to water. It wasn’t that hard to pump, it may be harder if you have water at the bottom and it’s pulling pressure, but as it was for me, it worked just fine. I took a sloppy video of me pumping it, it’s hard to pump and hold the thing at the same time while also holding a camera. Being that I am off grid and I don’t have Internet I’m not able to upload the video because of the size of it. I will try to upload that at a later time when I’m someplace that I have an Internet connection. Anyway, it seemed to be a decent quality build, and fairly easy to pump. As for the price, it’s a lot of plastic so I don’t see why it’s so expensive. It is lightweight and the tubing is thick and rigid, which makes it a little bit stiff and difficult to work with. Rolling it back up and putting it away was nearly impossible. I had to cut some Velcro strips to wrap around it to hold it in place which worked really well. On one hand, it would be nice if the pipe was not as rigid as it is, but on the other hand, it would likely be difficult to get it to slide down your well casing if it were. As long as you know that this is long enough to reach down to your water source, it seems like a great idea and a good product. I hope you have better luck with it than I did."

Ready to go out of the box

"This is true emergency gear. I will only need to use this in an extended power outage when other sources of water are not available. This pump is ready to function right out of the box. I don't have to put anything together or figure anything out. All I have to do is stick the tube down the well and then pump. I tried pumping it just with air and it does take some muscle. Considering the flow rate is a gallon a minute this will take some muscle power. But this makes it possible to still have flowing water and is worth every effort. Considering the price, it is also worth the investment. Installing a permanent hand pump is not feasible and much more expensive. This is a fantastic alternative for something I am hoping I will never need to use. But if I do need to use it, its value will actually be priceless. The handle seems to be 3-D printed but feels tough. Hopefully the plastic they used us ideal for storage and longevity. The fifty feet of pipe is MrPex potable PEX-a 1/2"" tubing. The pipe at the handle and other end of the tubing is Sharkbite PEX-a 3/4"". The clear tube the water comes out of is Kuri Tec Klearon phthalate free 7/16"" food grade PVC. The whole thing feels heavy duty, like it will last. There is plenty of pipe to get all the way down the length of the well. It stores pretty small. Considering how important a job it has to do, it hardly takes up any room at all."
