It is entirely likely we will lose power for 7-10 days depending on the severity of the storm. WE UNDERSTAND THE NEED

Meteorologists from across the state reported that “double or even triple the amounts necessary for catastrophic damage” were present. Nearly two inches - and more in some areas - of solid ice as a result of freezing rain was wreaking havoc across the southern United States. It was January of 2009, and one of the most prolific winter natural disasters was underway. My family farm was caught up in the midst of the disaster. The farm relied upon a well for water, a well that relied on electricity to power its submersible pump. When access to water is threatened, circumstances can take a grave turn very quickly.
